After you submit
What happens next
Every business goes through the same check, against the same published Standard. Paying never changes the outcome, and nothing is ever charged automatically.
-
The check
A checker reviews your documents, visits on site or by live video for Cornerstone, and asks your staff the five counter questions. Recording is always announced.
-
Two signatures
A second reviewer signs every check, and an imam reviews every Keystone file. The standards committee decides.
-
The decision
A pass, a pass at a lower level with the difference refunded, or "not yet" with a written list and one free re-check within 60 days.
-
Your record goes live
Your year starts on the day you pass. You preview your record for 3 business days; then it is published and your seal kit is ready.

Where HCC checks
Every state HCC has opened
The Standard is written for the whole United States. In a state with a halal law, the check adds that state's items, listed in the Standard. New York and New Jersey are not open yet, and Canada and Mexico follow later. HCC takes no application and no payment from a place it does not check yet.
-
Money
One published price for everyone
Second and later locations pay dues 20% off; the application fee stays $150 per location. Renewal comes by invoice 30 days before your year ends, and nothing is charged automatically. If HCC passes you at a lower level than you applied for, you may take it and get the difference back, or decline it and get your dues back (the $150 is kept).
Not sure you are ready?
Read what the check looks for, or ask about a readiness review through HCC Services. The person who helps you prepare never checks your business.
