If something happened with a halal-conscious business and you’d like us to take a closer look, this is the right place. You can tell us what happened in your own words. We’ll read carefully, ask questions if needed, and handle your case with dignity and fairness.
You don’t need perfect words and you don’t have to know exactly what should happen next. Just start from what you experienced.
Before You Begin
These points can help you decide what to share and what to expect from us.
What You Can Share
You can tell us about:
- Something you experienced at a halal-conscious business.
- A misunderstanding or conflict that needs clarity.
- A concern about how something was labeled or presented.
- Repeated issues that haven’t been resolved.
The more clearly you describe what happened, the better we can understand how to help. It’s okay if you don’t remember every detail.
What Happens After You Submit
Your case will be handled by our Case Management team. We will:
- Read your story in full, not just skim it.
- Ask you questions if something is unclear.
- Contact the business when appropriate and listen to their side.
- Help both sides move toward a fair, halal-conscious solution.
We handle this calmly, privately, and respectfully for everyone involved.
What We Can & Cannot Do
We Can
- Listen carefully to what happened.
- Clarify details and help express what you’re hoping for.
- Contact the business neutrally and gather their side.
- Encourage fair outcomes (refunds, fixes, apologies, policy changes).
- Help improve trust across the community.
We Cannot
- Act as your lawyer or give legal advice.
- Force a business to do something outside our agreements.
- Handle emergencies – if anyone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services.
- Issue religious rulings (fatāwā) – we follow qualified scholars.
We will always be honest about what is and isn’t within our role so we don’t make promises we can’t keep.
What the Process Looks Like
Every situation is unique, but most cases move through these steps:
Ready to Begin?
When you submit the form below, you’ll start a private case with our team. Please share as much as you feel comfortable sharing. If we need more information, we’ll reach out gently and clearly.
How Cases Work at Halal Community Council
A case is simply a structured way for us to look into a concern. It does not automatically mean anyone is “in trouble.” It means we are taking what you shared seriously and following a clear process.
In all of this, we try to act with ihsān – doing what is right, with care and balance, for everyone involved.
