One badge. One council. A clearer way to build trust.
Launching first in the Grand Strand area, with a model that can grow over time.

A Calm, Serious Way To Know Who You Can Trust

Halal Community Council is a small, curated membership for businesses that want to serve Muslims with honesty, respect, and real halal-conscious care — and a clear badge for Muslims who are tired of guessing at the door.

For Muslims: a simple badge to look for
For businesses: a year-long trust partnership
If you’re part of the Muslim community
You just want to know who is taking you seriously

The HCC badge is a simple signal: this business has invited outside eyes in, agreed to basic expectations, and entered an ongoing relationship with a council that cares about how Muslims are treated.

What the badge means
If you’re a business owner
You want guidance, not just another logo

Membership is built around a year of practical support: how you show up online, how you communicate with Muslims, and how you prepare for key seasons like Ramadan and Eid — all with a trust-focused lens.

What Halal Community Council Actually Is

We are trying to make things simpler, not more confusing. That means being explicit about what this council is and what it is not.

What it is

A trust-focused membership for real businesses

  • A small, curated circle of businesses that welcome Muslim customers
  • A set of clear expectations around honesty, respect, and communication
  • Year-long support to help you show up in a way Muslims can understand
  • A visible badge and verification page so the community can check claims

Think of it as a calm, practical lane for building and keeping Muslim trust — not a flashy marketing gimmick.

What it is not

Not a shortcut, not a guarantee

  • Not a replacement for formal halal certification programs
  • Not a promise that every detail matches every fiqh opinion
  • Not a pay-to-play stamp that anyone can buy and keep forever
  • Not a guarantee of a certain number of customers or sales

If a business breaks trust in a serious way, membership can be paused or ended — the badge is not permanent.

How Membership Works In Practice

We keep the process simple and relationship-focused. The details live on our How It Works & Benefits page, but here is the high-level flow:

1
Application & alignment
You apply and share your context

You complete a focused application. We look at who you serve, how you operate, and how you currently communicate with Muslim customers — then we decide if this is a good fit now.

2
Foundations
We set your foundation and badge

If accepted, we help tighten your visible presence, set up your HCC badge and verification link, and give you a short, prioritized list of improvements sized to your capacity.

3
Yearly rhythm
You move into a steady yearly rhythm

From there, you get a predictable pattern of strategy conversations, seasonal check-ins, and light support — with space to ask “how will this land with Muslims?” before you spend time and money.

Why The HCC Badge Matters For Muslims

For many Muslims, the hardest part is not wanting to support local businesses — it is feeling unsure about what is really happening behind the scenes. The HCC badge is meant to lower that anxiety without pretending to solve everything.

When you see the badge, it means:
  • The business has gone through a real, human review process
  • They’ve agreed to basic expectations around honesty and respect for Muslim values
  • They have a live badge tied to a verification page, not just a static logo
  • They’re in an ongoing relationship with a council that can say “this is not okay” if needed
What the badge does not automatically mean:
  • It is not a halal certification or fiqh ruling
  • It does not guarantee that every choice will match your personal school of thought
  • It is not permanent — if trust is broken in a serious way, the badge can be removed
